Oregon - A magical place.

Well, its been almost two weeks. I think and my memory of events is starting to fade. Time to bite the bullet and bust out another one of these bitches. Look at all dem B's. Beautifully balanced boreanal botany of biblic bourbony boutique. Annnyway....

I last left it right before Joe and I cooked Pam and Eulei our signature red sauce dish. Complete with shantral mushrooms and all sorts of other goodies. Needless to say it was the uncut raw.

Joe and I quizzed Eulei on the current state of America and came to the conclusion that we're totally fucked.

I know this is overstating the obvious but what ever happened to the government working for the people? Isn't that the point? To facilitate sustainable growth and improvement. It's gotten so twisted and convoluted and lines have been drawn but ultimately what do the people want? They want to live, eat, work play and not have to worry about shit. Why can't the government stick to the important stuff like building roads and keeping the mail service running? Fuck gay marriage, its verbage - a complete distraction from anything important. An imaginary line drawn in sand that is already polluted by black and white distinctions.

Vido for President

Whoops. Got a little carried away there.

So the next day Friday the 11th of October:

Joe and I took a bunch of time packing our shit. After being somewhere for several days stuff kind of spreads itself out and takes awhile to put back together. Also there is a method to the madness so you kinda got to piece meal it al together so it fits right. Nothing like packing everything then realizing you have to unpack so you can put one small thing in the bottom of the bag.

We had a route from ridewithgps.org all planned out. It was on this ride that we realized every day ride with GPS with throw something our way. An obsticle that is surpassable but always with varied degrees of difficulty, one date it might be a locked gate, another it might be a colapsed bridge, or simply the route plotted is not on a road at all.

Here is a photo of us before we left taken outside pam and Euli's house:

Here is our route on ride with GPS:

Here is a breif summary of how things went down:

Stop and go traffic out of Portland. Short stint of highway. "heap of forestry roads aye?". I lost my spare tire off the back of my bike. Road was closed due to bridge rebuilding. We fucked around trying to find a way around the across the river. It got dark, we decided against it and pinned it for the highway and then town. Got into town, ate dinner. Tried to camp at a town park. Got kicked out by a policewoman. Moved on to a campground. They were full. Camped under the stars next to the highway in a graveyard. Saw a bunch of shooting stars.

We woke up with frost on our sleeping bags.

First thing to do was to head to McKay Cottage - A routine we did not yet know would develop - and got breakfast. After that we went and did an oil change at a local bike shop. We tried the campground again but they were full. After a little cell phone research we found that we could get a a motel room for two people for sixty bucks a night. If there is one creature comfort I really hate doing without its hot showers. I don't need a bed, or a roof, or a hot meal but I really really hate not having hot showers. We went to the motel six and set up shop. It had terrible reviews but it suited us just fine. Hot shower and two queen beds. We dropped out stuff and went out for a ride. We headed south to an offroad park. The riding was excellent, not especially challenging but fast and loose with lots of whoops and berm. I went hard and worked myself right out. It was fun but then I got tired and started crashing. Nothing like taking the all the weight off the bike and getting after it. If you read this seth -  I was thinking of you - when I wasn't sliding sideways through berms and ripping out in a wheelie...

Ok here are all the rest of the pictures. I'm done with this thing>>>>>>>>

We headed back to the motel in the dark, tired cold and almost out of gas. Hot shower.... Mhmmm. Then we walked down to town. Got some food -  shot the shit with a few different ladies. Bounced around a little bit. Joe decided walk home. I made him promise me that he'd stop and talk to atleast one girl. He didn't.

Then next day we did fuck all. Ok, Bend was cool - it was fun. Met some cool people.Time to shorten this up.

Spent some more time in bend. Raised a corvet, and Joe said "you just can't help but be a hooligan can you" Pretty much sums it up.

We bounced from bend and did some epic snow riding towards Eugene, pictures:

Joe had a date in Eugene, I guess it worked out OK. We both rode back to our camp on the same bus. Next day we headed for Coos bay through some beautiful forests and roads. Oregon is stunning. We camped out.

Sick ass spot too. Decommissioned abandoned fire tower. Photos:

I cooked a terrible curry and we made a late night run to to a river to filter some water because we were scared we'd get food poisoning. Next morning I made more of the terrible curry, the shit sucked.

We hit the road and went into coos bay for lunch. Also terrible. I love oregon, I love the trees, the greenery, the mountains and nothing against the good people but there are a fair amout that are subpar. I haven't been overly impressed.

Anyway, we're coming out of Coos bay, and I see victor -  the dude I met on the ferry hitchhiking. Obvisouisly we picked him up as we were on our way to go camping and only about 15 miles away. We piled his shit on my bike and he climbed on. She was loaded. My rear tire was getting smoked by  my exhaust so Joe started carrying victor. We got kind of lost on the way to the camp/site single track but when we got there we found that it was closed due to logging.

We were leaving to find a river to camp at when we came upon a camper with a ktm 400 parked out front. Enter Sean. Long story short we drank beer, went dirtbiking had a bonfire and kicked it hard with sean. It was a blast . Cool dude he's done a ton of different stuff. From being homeless to making millions. Photo of
sean victor and joe.

Bike parked in the front yard. I've come to realize she represents everything I look for in a women. Can carry more then twice her weight. Powerful, refined, sexy. Allergic to going slow, elegant. Down to ride whatever whenever, where ever. Likes getting ridden hard and put away wet. Good stance. Forgiving. Beautiful rack. Maybe a little high maintence but always the best performance in return. Simple to fix. The list is endless. I'm in love. Finally, most importantly every time I see her I get excited.

Next we headed here to medford. Where I am at now, we are couch surfing and we went to a hot springs. I'm all blogged out. Plus some black pussy just climbed in my lap. Later folks.
